Our Students - Year 1 Room 13

In Room 13 we have been learning about 3 dimmensional shapes. Today we tried to make 3D shapes using different materials. We found Klikko was the easiest material to use because the pieces click together neatly and it is made of squares and triangles. Some of our favourite 3D shapes are rectangular prisms, cubes and triangular-based pyramids.

The Year One’s in Room 13 have been enjoying playing in our new wet area. Play is an important part of a child’s development. Play allows children to use their creativity while developing many Literacy and Numeracy skills. The students develop strong oral language and problem solving skills through socialising with their peers.
