Our School - Message From The Principal

 Our Vision

At Orelia, we strive to provide a safe and supportive educational environment in which we empower students to be self-motivated to learn, whilst being culturally and environmentally aware; and to become valued and responsible members of society.

We are a two streamed school with year levels K-6. We have an ICSEA of 929.00 and are part of the Kwinana electorate. We provide specialist programs in: science, art, physical education, and Italian.
We maintain a strong sporting ethos within our school and the broader community which involves interschool competitions based on our physical education program.
We have a strong and comprehensive intervention program for students at risk, which has flexible engagement options. Data shows that students have made significant achievements with this type of support. Assessments and programs are individual although delivery may be in small groups.
Our staff develop and implement learning programs individually and in collaborative groups, to meet the needs of all students and support capacity building within our school. We have the philosophy that we are all life-long learners and encourage this within the whole community.
Our active parent group supports the school in a myriad of ways which includes: fund raising, resource replacement, grounds maintenance and upgrades, community events, classroom assistance and canteen management.
In the last year we have commenced a grounds improvement plan where we have developed a nature play area, a bike path for our Pre Primary and have further enhanced the entrance to our school. We look forward to working with our community in 2016, to achieve more for our students and school.
